An Alternative Eating
Plan
By
making important changes in your daily eating habits that
are easy and acceptable to your lifestyle, you can lose
weight safely and permanently while saving money. This plan
encourages you to eat healthy and let your body respond by
losing weight in a healthy manner. By eating more healthy,
you will reap more benefits than simply losing weight.
Following a healthier diet, we create healthier bodies and
live healthier lives. Weight loss is a result - not the
objective. Eating
healthier for yourself - it is ultimately one of the best
things you can do not just for yourself but for those you
love.
This
is not a weight loss diet because "weight loss" diets
fail. The
human body just does not shed fat quickly. Losing weight
does not easily occur due to the natural processes of our
bodies (due to our weight "set point"). It takes the body
time to adjust to changes. It is not a matter of how quickly
we lose weight, it is giving our bodies the right kinds of
foods and allowing the amount of time for our bodies to
adapt. It will be an ongoing process for your body to adapt
to your new eating habits.
Fast
weight loss plans:
Can be unhealthy and can be harmful to your
body.
Often lead to loose skin and loss of muscle tissue and bone
mass.
Are usually followed by fast weight GAIN.
Can lead to bingeing and eating disorders, especially among
teenagers
Can be costly, difficult to manage, and are not
sustainable.
Sets unrealistic goals and set up those using it for
failure.
Start
the Easy Healthy Eating System and recommit to This Eating
Plan at the beginning of Each Month. If you get off the plan
during the month just decide to get right back on it at the
beginning of the next. It isn't as important how many times
you get off track as much as it
is getting
back on. Be sure if something hasn't worked for you to try
something different on the list.
If you
can, find a friend or others in your family to do this with
you for Mutual Support. Changing
eating habits is easier when you have someone else going
though the same experience for mutual encouragement. So,
find a
friend or family member to do
this with. Be sure the person really wants to change their
eating lifestyle.
On the list below, find what
healthy eating habits would be acceptable to
you. Choose
at least three for the first month. After each month drop
an item that isn't working for you and replace it with
another item. Aim to embrace between 2 and 3 habits each
month that you are performing on a consistent basis. Each
month increase that the over-all number
gradually.
At the beginning of each month mentally review and
evaluate your progress and consistency. Continue with the
ones that are working for you and pick new items you will
be comfortable with. Make notes of what worked for you or
what adjustments to your effort might be
helpful.
